You name a table, a mark to
draw, and which column goes to which part of the picture, and
one engine turns that description into an SVG. The same
description is written the same way in R, 'Python', 'Julia' and
'JavaScript', and is drawn by a single engine written in 'Rust'
that ships inside the package, so nothing has to be installed
or added to the path.

<r:package>gog</r:package><r:version>0.6.0</r:version><r:status>success</r:status><r:repository>https://psychometrician.r-universe.dev</r:repository><r:upstream>https://github.com/psychometrician/gog</r:upstream>

[psychometrician] god 0.2.2

One small vocabulary for manipulating tables, spelled the
same way in R, in Python, and as plain text. A pipeline is
checked whole before any of it runs, so a bad column is
reported at the step that names it rather than failing partway
through. The grammar owns the words, the checking and the
messages; an engine underneath does the work. The manual, live
in both languages, is at

and getting a table out of it, spelled the same way in R and in
Python. You point it at a document you have never seen and it
reports whether the file is sound, what shapes it holds, and
what one row could be, with every candidate priced. Output is
proportional to the structure rather than to the data, so a 912
MB file and a 12 KB file produce descriptions of similar size.
The package is a thin wrapper around the 'fathom' engine, which
it invokes as a subprocess; the engine is compiled and bundled
at install time, so an installed copy is self-contained and
needs nothing else.

<r:package>fathom</r:package><r:version>0.0.1</r:version><r:status>success</r:status><r:repository>https://psychometrician.r-universe.dev</r:repository><r:upstream>https://github.com/psychometrician/fathom</r:upstream>
